See how they put together that scene on “Jerico” TV series. Take note of the horn, not whistle.
Sorry, but you have to watch a commercial, first.

damn commercial sucked!! as for the rest - not too bad
Hmm, I didn’t get the commercial. Perhaps it knows I work for CBS.
Cool stuff, though I might have to complain about them abusing a train like that.
BTW, didn’t the SP use airhorns on some of their steamers, particularly the Daylights?

With that tank I would have thought it should be a Diesel and not a steam.
Nice train, wish i had one.
The ESPEE did use the air horn on their steamers, but I don’t think that PENNSY did.
TAC, Jerico is a TV series about what happens after some domestic terrorists (of course, probably right wing extremists) detonate nukes in 23 major American cities.

It’s an okay show, though the suspension of disbelief factor is pretty high. They’ve also got a lot to learn about geography. I live less than 20 miles from the Rockies, and I can’t see them from my house. Yet these guys–in the middle of Kansas–can see them from their rooftops. Actually, the mushroom cloud in the opening sequence (purportedly Denver getting nuked–or was that just last year’s Broncos season?) shows it behind the mountains. Evidently there’s now a mountain range between Denver and Kansas. Wish there was–it’d make for a much more interesting drive.

Speaking of air horns, have you seen the latest TV ad of the Norfolk Southern?
The ad begins with a pretty scene of several NS Diesels pulling a train, and blowing its whistle…a three chime steam whistle.
( You’d think that they could have dubbed in a Norfolk and Western single chime whistle!)
If NS management believes that steam loco whistles are a selling point, then maybe an entire steam engine would be better,
cheers
