Does anyone know if railroad companies have to get building permits and inspections and observe local building codes when they erect a building on their railroad???
Yes Joe they do
Joe
All the estimates we did at GRS required compliance with local building codes.
Sometimes the local building codes added a lot of time and expense to our estimates.

Thanks for the answers guys. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)
I would say our large scale buildings are exempt but what about the guys that have ride on trains? Some of their buildings are big and probably do require permits and inspections. How about their bridges? They need to be built well and be able to safely carry passengers and heavy trains over them. They don’t use stacked bricks and old flower pots.
