Doug,
Check a few other sources for fan adn shrouds. Look at the bilge fans from marine supply places like folks have used for track blowers. Also some small automotive (truck drivers) fans are similar if not the same size as the LGB units. May be easier sourced and cheaper.

Update:

I’ve finished the celestory portion of the rear roof and started closing up the rest of the aft roof.

I’ll finish the build out of the car and then work on the propulsion system.

Welcome to the site
You have a nice build going there. I like the colors. As Ric said, it right for the period.
I would also say go with a powered truck and use the props for show. That LGB thing
is expensive and hard to control too.

Doug… shoot on over to Axel’s site, and link over to his german counterpart. I managed to find all teh pieces there to build one of the LGB teeny vanderbilt tenders. I believe I saw many of the parts for the flyer’s listed there.

If you can’t read german, I suggest visiting the site with Google Chrome… it can auto-translate the page (I have mine setup to not even ask, it just goes ahead and translates the site to english for me when I visit.)
