Problems with IE 7-8 Ideas?

Just switched back to IE from Firefox. Guess both have issues i don’t like in one way or another, but will stay with IE for now. Question? Now that i’m on either IE 7 or 8 believe I upgraded to 8, my files here in LSC do not load at all into this window like before. When I click on delete it actually loads the LSC home page into the whole files box like another window. Any suggestions, questions. fixes, opinions or whatever that will fix this issue??? Thanks ahead of time The Regal

p.s. also when i click on LSC to download home page I now have to remember to refresh it sometimes doesnt load the current or proper page into the home view page once I refresh it sends the current or the most recent posts then, it varies each time i pull up LSC??? Weird

I’d go back to Firefox.
But’s that’s just me.

not weird at all.
there are settings that IE will hold onto so that pages load faster.
under the tols bar at the top click go to internet options and redo the settings in there.

the one thing I have noticed is that ever seens Bob redid the website my IE looks like the right side of the page is cut off. I do not have that when I use Firefox. other then that one thing I don’t have or see any other problems with IE.

IF your still having truble let me know and I will try and help you work them out.

Go to Tools, then Internet Options.

In Browsing history, check settings - you may get a wanring message, click ok.

Under Temprary Internet Files, be sure to check under “Check for newer versions of stored pages:” and make sure the button for “every time I visit the webpage” is checked.

that will make sure you get the current page everytime.

It should. If not, let me know and I can look further.

For those on FireFox, there is a similar setting that will fix pages not loading the current version.

Nope did not fix the part when i try to download a picture from my files here to a window here it loads image to another page only!!! thinking about going back to Firefox for everything except what I switched to IE for in the first place. The Regal

I’ll see what I can figure out. I have a guy at work that is a guru with this stuff.

Question - when you say it downloads to another page, does it open another tab or does it open another window (IE)?

At work IE crashes about ten times a day on my office computer, once Firefox loads it’s fine and fast. PC XP Pro.

IE should work… Jerry, I think you have a browser hijacker in your IE (firefox better are resisting such attacks)

You need to run windows defender to see if that helps… it’s free on the microsoft site…

Jerry are you tring to post pictures to the forum from your “MyFiles” using IE?
If so what you have to do is click on the file/picture you wont, IE will ask you for promission to post to clip board, click yes, then go to the reply area and paste the file/picture from your clip board.

If that is not it, please give more detail as to what you are trying to do with IE that you could not do with FireFox. That way I might be able to help you better.

Greg thanks I already have virus and antispywear protection through webroot, but I did download defender, and ran it also. It came up with nothing. The Regal

Thanks Geoff, as you can see you helped and IT WORKS!!Thanks I think Firefox is easier though. May switch just to do my ebaying, and LSC and others on Firefox does seem alot easier. Jerry what time friday night? I am on the left…sorry west coast right now. Would like to sit in on that chat and when I get back home set up a cam and join in that way.
