HI guys:
Precision Scale previously announced the CP Huntington in HO Scale, O Scale and Large Scale. Did this production occur or is this production still in the planning stage?
Thank you,
Norman

Norman,
You’ve been asking that for years (as I discovered when I did a quick google.) I commented on PSC’s “Minnetonka” back in 2009, and the webpage (link below) was created in 2004 (!)
The PSC page is at http://www.precisionscaleco.com/CP%20Huntington.html
but it isn’t in the latest newsletter http://www.precisionscaleco.com/MO%20News%20Sept%20October%202015.pdf (wow, what a lot of luvverly stuff!)
Couldn’t find any evidence that they ever produced a large-scale version. Caboose Hobbies sells the O scale one.
I even found the “Minnetonka” page: http://www.precisionscaleco.com/NP%20Minnetonka.html
Another very neat loco.
I think PSC gave up on LS a long time ago. I still remember them talking about Mack Railbus as well.
Well, why cant you take a run out old Bachmann 10 wheeler and cut her up an make your own?

Dave I like your thinking. Doesn’t everybody think that way? I have to laugh because so far I have not once actually looked to see if anyone already makes the things I am thinking of making. I instantly think how can I build it, only to later find out someone already makes something very close to it. Its just that “build it” mentality. I know there are as many or more people that don’t want to even think about building it.
Just looked at pictures of them. Oh heck yeah that is for sure a good candidate for a B-mann 10 wheeler bash.

Because the main drivers are too small a diameter I built the MLS Huntington, it used HLW drives and parts including the main driver wheels from the 4-4-0, which are taller than a standard Bug Mauler. I have a second unbuilt kit that I was planning to build either the 2-2-0 San Garbriel /Vacaville or the 4-2-0 CNW Pioneer.
There’s no sign of the CP Huntington in any scale in their latest newsletter, are you sure this wasn’t an old announcement?
I have to admit I absolutely HATE looking at places like the PSC catalogs, because I get insanely jealous at the lower scales because there is certainly no sign of any gnashing of teeth like in large scale, while we are cold and starving they are warm and toasty drinking in all those nice lovely new products. Granted PSC is really very expensive but wow is it nice looking stuff!
Hi Guys:
Thank you for the links. Caboose Hobbies list the CP Huntington as Canadian Pacific roadname and the entry was 2011 pre-order so I guess Pete the O scale model is still not yet mfg… I would not pay that amount for an O Scale model, 1:32 Scale sized yes.
I just bought a plastic O Scale kit of the CP Huntington.
Previously had the brass Delton version but decided to trade it in on another train instead. Too high a value for what it was considering the current level of detail on today’s brass models.
The Playmobil 4-4-0 seems to be an excellent candidate to cut up into a CP Huntington. The Playmobil 4-4-0 looks like a CP Huntington with a rear driver added under the cab in the same manner as Delton did to their CP Huntington to build a 4-4-0.
Thanks everyone for the confirmation that PSC did not build the model,
Norman
