Just purchased a Precision Scale 1:24 2 truck Shay. Bought the loco from a reseller who said a previous owner had converter the loco to sound and DCC. Another message from the seller said Soundtraxx had been installed. I want to convert the engine dead rail (perhaps with a battery car) and Blunami. Seeking any information about the wiring in these Precision Scale locomotives.

If you are interested I could send you a schematic of how I converted a Bachmann 3-truck Shay to battery power - uses a CVP Airwire system, ESU 5XL decoder and Lithium Battery (the Mallet also uses the same conversion).
Would work with a Soundtraxx decoder (I use them in some of my 1:48 scale work) - my wiring does away with track power completely (Shay was a wreck when I bought it) but could be retained.
