Power restored!

The power is back on this morning after yesterday’s massive blackout!

We were in the theater, about halfway through a movie, when the power went out yesterday. The blackout affected all of San Diego and Imperial counties, and parts of Orange county, Yuma, AZ, and Baja. There was still no power when I went to bed a little after midnight last night. I woke up a couple hours later and we had power, at least in our neighborhood.

I hadn’t heard this. Went to bed before news time last night.

Sounds a lot like the NYC black-out of 4-5 years ago. We were out on our boat at the time. As it was getting dark we noticed that there were less lights on shore than normal, but didn’t think much of it. When we finally came in (after about 9 hours on the water) we discovered the power was out. By the time we got everything packed up and back home, the power came on. Barely affected me at all, but all the neighbors were all excited

That is why I bought a MG Set (5.5KW). And run extension cords to the important stuff when PSE looses it! Even set up to run heating system, since the gas is still on.
