I am hoping ya’ll can help me out. I have always used photobucket to post photos on this forum, but no matter what format or size, it will not work for me.
Does anyone else have these issues?
How can I resolve this?
Thank you!
Matt

I use Photobucket all the time.

What exactly are you having a problem with?
Posting a photo isn’t any different now then with the other format.
When you click on a photo, a small window appears. Just click on the “Direct Link”, and it should say “copied” after you do that. Then just post that link in the reply window.
It should look something like this:

Hey Ken, that’s what I was trying to do yesterday and whether I used an html code or an img code they were just showing at blue boxes with ? marks in them.
I haven’t tried direct link-

I had always used the others prior to the new site.
Must be the new format!
Thanks for sharing that, I would have never tried the direct link, but it is definitely successful.
Have a great night
Matt
I’ve always used the Direct Link option, since it seemed to be the only one with a jpg tag on the end of it.
So now ya know, and I see on the K facelift, ya got it figgered out…
Yessssir, thanks again!
I had problems too until I figured out that the new format of the website doesnt like one little character in the Photobucket HTML code.
Take out the / in the [ /IMG ] at the end of the link and it will work.
The other way is nice to know also, never knew that before.
The spaces are not in the code, I had to add them so you could see what I mean
Jake, I am glad I wasn’t the only one. Thank you for that as well!
I had troubles too. On my end I had a pop up asking if I wanted to allow access. But, having a pop up blocker I didn’t see it.

I respectfully disagree…It is close but requires a bit more work.
All photo’s now need to be edited for size, no more than 800 wide (old format was much wider). Adittionally as mentioned, one needs to remove the “image tags” or the “/”…Not required with the old format.
No biggie, but not as direct as the old “copy/paste”.
I see you visited the Midway! Must have been the same day I did, cloudy, and bitterly cold. I swear I have never seen a sunny day in San Diego! I have horrid luck!
Major difference here is the old site would allow the image tags, but didn’t use them. They showed up as extra junk in the post. The new software doesn’t allow them.
The correct way to post pictures, old site or new was to use only the photo url (direct link). The trick of eliminating the slash only fools the software because there is no end tag. A future version may barf on that and all your picture links could break. Best just to eliminate the IMG tags all together.
As far as size goes; you can post whatever size you want. The forum viewer will only display the left 800 pixels. You can use the View Image command in your browser to see images as wide as your screen.

I still do it the same way I did on the old one. Just copy and paste the “Direct Link”.
My brother lives in Santee and I try to get down to Balboa Park and the Seaport Village whenever we get out there to visit.
Good to know Jon. I’ll do what you suggest from now on.
See if this works.

Looks like he’s directing Mahler’s 5th.
