Posting a pdf document in the "Articles" section?

Bob, I need your help.

Is it possible to post a pdf document to the “articles” section, so that it opens automatically? I have a nicely-formatted pdf ready to go, but I can’t see any way to post it. Is this even allowed?

Here’s what I’m trying to turn into an article:

In your articles editor, the “make link” and “break link” buttons are greyed out, so I can’t just post a link to the pdf. I can easily convert the pdf to html, if that’s easier to deal with, but I don’t see a way to post html code, either.

So, what am I missing here? There should be some way to make this work, but I’m stumped.

Thank you,

Steve Seitel

I don’t know about posting the PDF to show up as an article, but if you want to do HTML, look for the HTML button in the editor window’s toolbar. Press it an a window opens that you can type or paste HTML code to.

Yep, what Jon said should work. Opening the HTML editor, then you can paste in the code for the article.

If you want, send me the HTML, and I’ll set it up for you (and make sure what I’m telling you actually works like its supposed to with user-contributed items)

Thanks, guys. I managed to convert to HTML, but the formatting was all messed up. I’d spend more time fixing that than reproducing the article from scratch. Appreciate the info.
Steve

Steve,

Assuming Bob allows off site links to things, load the PDF to any one of the free photo sites and link from there.
