Animation replays one full day on Slovakia’s railways, Wednesday 30 September 2026. Each glowing dot is a scheduled passenger train moving along real track, taken from the official ŽSR timetable. Across the day, 2,007 trains run, and up to 186 are moving at the same time.
The chart at the bottom stays nearly empty until about 04:00, climbs steeply into the morning peak, then holds a steady sawtooth through the day, which shows the regular clock-face timetable repeating every hour. Faint rings pulse wherever a train calls at a station.
Slovakia’s rail network covers roughly 3,600 km and is run by the state infrastructure manager ŽSR (Železnice Slovenskej republiky).
