Are you guys bragging about posting over 1000 messages on this form?

You all need to get a life, get married, have sex, get a honey-do list, something. You all have to much free time on your hands.

Chuck

Chuck,

Some of us have a life, have a wife, have sex, all of which leads to a honey do list. But the one thing we are always short of is “free time”, sheesh they make us pay for it!
There are some who buy more LGB, some others buy more “free time” - yep, the kind they make you pay for.

OK, before going back to leaving post-marks post-haste to post the greatest number of postings – with more endless post mortems…

P-A-U-S-E:

We have a WINNER for most pithy comment: CHRIS VERNELL.

Prod from Gary Buchanan: “Honest, I’m not trying to boost my post count.”

Chris: “Quick, someone put a yardstick on his nose!”

Wendell

Giggle.

Wendell

That’s two.

…and to think, I know this guy, Chris, well…egads…

Wendell,

That’s all well and good but where are we to find a yard stick?!?   :stuck_out_tongue: Or would one of those old-fashion folding meters be OK?

BTW did you know that Märklin was sold last year??? It’s another one for the “Oh Dear” department from one of the “well informed” sources on the Internet.

Fr. Fred,

Hmmmmm … you know I still have a problem deciding who learned what from whom in that Ottawa group. I reserve that 'til such time as I get to see some of you in action in “real time” and that may still be inconclusive.

BTW which dance are you doing at the moment? It’s past the witching hour and full (aka fool) moon, isn’t it??

HJ-
Humor aside, I had no idea that Kingsbridge Capital owns Marklin ( I used the site you noted in your above post to make this discovery).

For me, this puts a very heavy impetus for LGB of Germany i.e. Marklin, i.e. Kingsbridge, to secure any and absolutely all of the value from the LGB moniker. I would not be surprized at all if LGB of America is no longer an entity by that name – at least ONLY at the full discression of Kingsbridge. There is big money here talking.

Is the above within reason per your data?

…I’m a bit wet, but very clean; after doing my midnight full moon “Sundance” at Midnight +.
I;m now recovering with 4 fingers of Sheep Dip

Wendell,

There were quite a few pertinent facts that got swamped by the onslaught of the “Ventilators”, but the narrow skirting of insolvency by Märklin in 2006 was mentioned a few times during the never-ending “LGB Saga”.
Matter of fact there’s enough published material on that to fill a complete new thread, but it’s water under the bridge (or over the dam).

In any case the owners of the Märklin/Trix/Hübner/LGB conglomerate won’t depend on the largesse of financiers like the former Schmidt-Bank to get their plans to fruition. They don’t deal in chump change and they know precisely how they are getting from “here” to “there”.

That’s why the fuming of Fleck, Goede and Jakob was/is just that: “fuming”.

“So it goes” Kurt Vonnegut

Wendell, I don’t think LGBoA should be written off quite so quickly. There is more life there than what it appears.

. Warren's been watching "ER" again. :D Or is this rumor central being activated? This should bring out the talking heads...
