The only pictures I have from Fred’s in 2009 are of people, not trains. This is the same consist visiting Rooster’s place on October of the same year…
I’d be in for one as well. I’m gonna pick up the banta kit soon. It’s a smaller kit that mounts on the bachmann 0-4-0 davenport.
OK! Sounds like somewhere between 10 and 20.
Bruce and I are trying to source the RS3 motor blocks with sideframes, as we’re designing the basic box around that (though other drives will work).
I have the basic CAD drawing done, and will cut out a test version from PVC and Styrene to test-assemble. Then figure out the details.
Right, it’s on!
Bob, I’ll take two of them also.

Im in for 2 as well. I’m building a pizza type layout for some of my shows and these would fit in nicely. Better source them trucks quick, I have a feeling all is not well in N.J. Nick P.S. What scale might these be ?

Earlier I said I’d sign up.
Now I’d like 2, instead of one.
Anyone have a good source for cheap Phoenix P8’s?
Cheaper by the dozen?
I need 2 for these box cabs and some more for other locos and geese!
Speakers?
Batteries?

i would be intersted, but would like a few more details if possible, I was going to build a mow car, but I think these are cool.

I’m tempted too, but I still have 4 of Bobs of box car kits and one of Andre`s from a few years ago to build.
Bob McCown said:Bob: Would you add me to the list for one boxcab, please.
OK! Sounds like somewhere between 10 and 20.
Doug Arnold said:Doug, "Ozark Larry" has the Ozark Miniatures 3 slot coupler pockets and then Kadee Couplers filed to fit into the pockets and held in with a pin. This allows adjustment as to who's railroad you are operating on and what standard they use for their railroad.
Count me in Bob. My railroad crew wants one! I'll have to figure out how to put Kadee couplers on it! I have a 1:24 motor block that may fit it. I wondered what I'd use it for!
I need a couple things for other projects and I’ll add those to the list. I can think of a couple other cars I could use them on.
How’s the project Bob? We’re ready!
This came to light last night

Interesting wrench in the project. That’s about what I was thinking for a kit anyway, and around what I thought the target price would be.
Thats the one I was refering to. Banta makes nice kits, I bought the cab kit for the 2-6-0 indy and was very happy with it. The problem is finding a bachmann loco for cheap, people are asking $200 for the lil 0-4-0 gas davenport.
I ordered one. Going to see what else I can put underneath it for a power truck. I have a couple of 45 tonner trucks, a couple of LGB trucks, and even a big Aristo block I was saving for a 7/8 project.
Plus you can get the truck and motor for the davenport direct from Bachmann.

I have a Short Line block I’d like to adapt since it’s in the workshop. Also, since it’s 1.:0.3 I’m curious how big it will be.
The HLW Mack may be a good candidate. Usually $45.00 at most trains shows.
I have a Mack (HLW) block that would probably work. I am looking for an Aristocraft 2 axle diesel block if anyone is interested in a trade?
A Mack has a shorter wheelbase than the RS1/FA1 block if I recall correctly. Keep that in mind.
That looks good Bob, save you some trouble.
