Ah, yes.

And we’ve found possibly three US WWII boats this year.

I heard there is a U-boat on the ground as a museum in England that is gonna get cut up unless somebody wants to move it.
Cannot imagine the German Gummint letting a war memorial go away.

Interesting!

Ah Lord Kitchener!?! A rather sizeable town/city in Ontario was re-christened after the bloke, before that it was called Berlin. Couldn’t have any of that, never mind how many German ex-pats were/are living in the area.

Would you believe the city right next to it -cheek to jowl - is called Waterloo? The Upper Canadians really knew how to get even.

How do they get away with Montreal?

We had to let the Frogs have something , or they would have made us eat snails .
Us rosbifs don’t like snails . Or horses .
The best thing to come out of France is the ferry to England .
Ah , mon dieu , je suis certainment dans la merde .

Now, Now, David…be careful what you say about my home town…built around Mount Royal, a small dormant volcano.

You should visit and let me give you a tour of Montreal; you might even like it !!

So Fred, have I been pronouncing it wrong all these years? It is spelled Montreal. but I should pronounce it MOUNT ROYAL? Okay. And you guys think we abuse the language.
