Large Scale Central

Port of Charleston, SC

While the Americans were invading Canada, I was soaking up a little history and sunshine in Charleston, SC. Although I didn’t have time for railfanning, I did happen across a switch engine at the Port of Charleston. I like his headgear

Check out the building facade

A shot of one of the container docks.

Ah, yes, Charleston, SC. Where the Ashley and the Cooper Rivers come together to form the Atlantic Ocean.

That’s interesting. In Philly, across the street from Independence Hall, there’s a similar facade. The difference is there’s a high rise office building behind the facade. You walk through the facade to get into the building. It’s one of the old original colonial buildings that stood there.
