Large Scale Central

Populating B'mann or LGB stock car with sheep...

Has anyone attempted to fill a 1:22.5 stock car with Playmobil sheep ?

Where can a person purchase Playmobile sheep in bulk ?

Is there any other manufacturer of appropriately sized sheep, at a price that a poor sod could contemplate purchasing them, without going broke ?

I do not want or need models of sheep that would be perfect for some animule display in a museum. The Playmobil sheep at several feet, and inside a stock car would be fine…(I have about 12 stock cars that could be filled, possibly on two levels, as was practiced in many cases on the railroads)

If there is no other way…I request that anyone that has some of these sheep, PLEASE, consider sending them to me, if you have no further use for them…THANK in advance…

Mr. Mills ,or do you prefer Padre,Friar,Father ?

I have found the some of the “big box stores” (in the states) sell bulk bags of “animules” for around $1 US currency. Now mind you this is a $1 bag (of US currency) and the contents may vary per big box store. However I have found numerous scale sheep, goats,ROOSTERS, dogs ,cats, raccons…wait we were discussing sheep. Not domesticated “animuels” …I read it a second time!

I’m sorry for going off topic…but “Shorty” was carved from a goat out of one of the suggested bags and sprayed with krylon semi gloss black with a UV treated clear again from krylon then ink washed to make the details pop on the goat…I meant “Shorty”

Yes, scale sheep are available from the vendors. Just Plain Folk (#805).

LeMax also makes people tending to sheep.

From when Rooster had to “go on the lamb.”

But to fill 12 double decked stock cars, Fred wants cheep sheep.

Farm stores like Tractor Supply in the eastern US have inexpensive toy animals of a useful size that they market to children. You might look there.

I’ll check a few places around here, Fred, and let you know what I find.

You must be bored, wanting to fill up 12 cars with sheep…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I leave the door open and just place animals at the doorway on stock cars I have never filled them.

My Aristo Raindeer stock car has a deer family,Buck, Doe, Fawn.

Maybe he can’t sleep and he needs some for counting…(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

FR. Fred- Do you have a “Party City” store in your area (not sure if they are in Canada). If so, they have a bin full of various animals (including sheep), for about 25 cents each (last time I checked). Hope this helps.
