Shawn get the storms before me here in Maine so I know winter is coming…
I need a 7/8th scale plow with some heft behind it ( well two foot gauge heft, you know maybe 10 tons) I will build a plow car eventually, but for now I can use a pony plow as they did back in the day. this is mounted on the pilot of the engine and only mounted in winter time.
My Fairymead has an old style long wooden pilot. I made the plow to clip onto it, with a couple of wood screws to retain it. I had time off this afternoon an just kinda went at it. I found a piece of galvanized steel from a “stove pipe” I made a pattern then just started cutting steel. the right and left wings are riveted together along the front and a bracket under the front gives it all plenty of rigidity. I used steel escutcheon pins as rivets. they are fit into a tight hole clipped to length than peened over with a hammer…old style
