Here are some video highlights from the “Black Friday” Turkey Trot Steamup held at the Pennsylvania Live Steamers Gauge One track. We had a pretty good turnout despite the day’s ambient temperature being 35 degrees, dropping a bit more when the cool brisk wind picked up. We were also treated during lunch to some railfan home movies of steam operations on the Reading line shot by Harry Quirk on 8mm back in the mid 1950’s. Excellent camera work, worthy of a professional railfan video. Enjoy!
Looks like a fun day despite the weather. You cant beat the steam plumes though.
