Plowing snow with Dora...

I didn’t have to spend the day in the car in the snow so instead I spent some of the day running Dora in the snow…Much safer!

This little beastie started life as an Accucraft Dora live steamer. I did a few modifications.

What a great video. Was the whistle stuck a bit in the plowing scenes? I kind of liked that. Charging around Plowing and blowing the whistle. Very nice model too. Like the red color with the wood.

Looks like Dora won the battle…

Now that was fun sitting at my computer watching the plow, while my wood stove is keeping me warm. Thanks Eric

Nice! Unique model, I like it.

Dora is very cute…

Dora had her gas burner turned up high which whistles like that…Rubys will do that too. I was pleasantly surprised how well she did with the snow! I added little (tooth) brushes to sweep the snow of the rail head, probably helps with the traction.

I won the stock engine for a video about plowing snow two years ago from the Steam In The Garden “steamy award”.

Very nice. Just can’t beat steam in the snow. Thanks for the wintertime treat.

Great video Eric. The Dora does well in the snow and I love what you did to it. We ended up inches of snow here. Your going to need the Forneys for the next storm tomorrow.

Shawn,

How much snow?

Another great video Eric! Funny how hard that light fluffy stuff can be to get through. My wife especially liked your music choices. I always love seeinf the buildings out in some snow. The snow seems to cover some of the tells that let you know it’s a model, then things seem to look much more real.

Great videos Eric. I rarely run my steamer, bu t always try and get it out in the snow. Conditions have not been favorable here at all this year. Sounds like the RR will be completely buried Monday night with this latest blizzard.

We had the perfect snow early last week. About an inch and a half of very fluffy stuff. Unfortunately I had to work. By the time I got home it had all melted in the sun.
