Large Scale Central

Plowing snow on the hill

This has been around for a few years and most of you have probably seen it before but it is an interesting

Video. Amazing that after all the years and advancements in technology it is still steam power that saves the day

Hope you enjoy

Rick

And I never tire of watching it…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Never seen that one before. Great video. Thanks for sharing, Rick.

Rick,

Nice to see that again. This years snow, here in California, may bring the Rotaries out again. The Central Sierra snow pack is at 114% of average right now. Last January we had zero precipitation for the entire month of January. We’re tired of the drought!

Those circles on the windows, do parts of them turn, or are they just tubing with hot water? I see something in the center that might be a motor, but I never see anything obviously turning.

The glass actually spins…throws the snow/water off. You can see them on ships on the bridge, also.

1st time I had ever seen that and I’m a PBS junkie!

Thank you Rick !

That was interesting!! I recall a similar video sometime back that was done by the SP. That was good too. Paul

Great Video! Thanks for sharing.
