If Cale had put that can on top of the truck he would have been eligible for a letter and then I might have hgad to vote for his choice of materials

Think I’ll go with:
#1: E
#2: F
Although if their were runner ups, then B & G for sure, like old-time narrow guage.

Great work everyone!
hmmm looks like I missed out on the challenge. Here’s my VERY late build log submission:

Actually, Andre, the submission was late, AND the start date was too early. If you don’t have time to check the model forum, I’ll see if I can remember to send you a PM for Ralph’s challenge when he announces it.
Nice bit of rescue work though.
I vote for Cale…

I’m crushed…
Appears as if Shawn may have this one.
Now we can get him out out those “pink panties” and into some “big boy” pants.
Once again nice work to all you guys considering the criteria/rules given!
#1 Material/design E. Goat
#2 Show C. Well
But all are great…
Well the votes are in and tabulated. First prize in the LSC New Year’s scratchbuild challenge is Shawn!!! So what did he actually ‘win’? Bragging rights until the next challenge, a softcover copy of Mainline Modeller’s Freight Cars Volume 3, -AND- a Mikbuilt 2 story outhouse model based on the one out in Gays, Illinois.

Shawn, Backchannel me your addy to collect your prizes. Thank you to all who entered and all who helped crown our winner.
Great work Shawn. And all who participated.
Wow I didnt think I would stand a chance. It was worth paying everyone to vote for me. LOL Everyone did a great job in such a short period. The important thing is we all had fun doing it and I cant wait to see what Ralph comes up with.
Im looking forward to finally be able to wear big boy pants. Those pink panties were getting a little worn out. LOL
Even tho I missed the deadline for voting I liked them all everyone did a terrific job for the short time frame. Congrats Shawn on the win!
Mik said:Congrats to Shawn - I'm assuming he took Best In Show.
Each of you may cast two votes. One vote for most creative design/use of materials. Second vote for best of show.
Hey Mik - did you tabulate the other category, most creative design/use of materials ?
I tabulated it. And decided to decline awarding myself a ‘prize’ (I sure didn’t want the junk
I was giving out ). Shaw was second in that category, and also had the highest combined score.
