Piute-John Crandall - One of our own

Fred has sent me an email but I don’t think he posted it.

Those of us who have been here sometime will remember Piute. We’d been wondering on and off about him as he used to do short drive by posts with some great pics he had mined from the Denver Library.

Piute died sometime in May. I don’t have any other details. Perhaps Fred can fill us in.

Piute and Tiny were kind of the anchors of LSC chat during the time I started here. I will miss him. Tiny and Piute will likely have a great RR up yonder for us all to operate and play on when its our turn.

May he rest in Peace!!

What sad news.

I have visited Piute a number of times in the past when I was in Denver.

A great modeller and a person I was proud to call a friend.

I posted a note on the opening forum of this web site, with all the information I have found.

I wish this was all a dream…Piute was a friend…I’m in great shock…

How did we all miss his passing.......seems it happened before June the 1st.....

We all should take this a a lesson that John would promote.......

Friends should communicate......and keep in touch.......Life is very prescious and unfortunately, very short.

Piute…rest in peace my friend…

I’m so sorry to hear this. I knew the MS must have been taking its toll but had hoped for the best. My step-dad had MS and there is no more insidious disease than MS.

A most generous and honorable person would be hard to find indeed. I will certainly miss him.
