SOmeone listed a Zephyr like mine on eBay. They were $5,000 when new in 1989 and this one has never been run. Bid! No, I don’t know him, nor will I bid on it.

I asked three years ago IF they offered a complete train - a complete engine.
No. All they had (at the time) was some components to build an engine.
Hmmmm. the ad in Garden RR showed a locomotive.
Interesting that there was a prototype of a loco and cars.
Question: Are they no longer in existence? If not, did some other interest buy up the parts, or whatever that was left? Any locos?

I got mine from Bob Thon, he was Robert’s Lines. Well, still is, making some streamline diesels and Challengers. He will have an ad in the magazine again soon. Anyway, I was talking to him about the diesels last year and he mentioned he had found some Zephyr pieces, cleaning out his barn. That’s how I got mine Brian.
Wendell They are pieces that had some problems, circuit boards out, few scratches. The center car’s plating does not quite match the other two. I had to work on the pickups also and discovered the rear motor/differential ran at a different speed, so removed the rear motor. Had to put in new u-joints also, found a Graupner that fit just perfect! The brass ones wear out fast! Jerry
