Pioneer Steam Heritage virtual tour by the RR Museum of PA

Thanks to David Marconi, I learned of an upcoming virtual tour at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania which will feature a loco that I’m particularly interested in (the V&T Tahoe). The tour will also present the famous John Bull and two of the museum’s oldest passenger cars.

Yesterday I spoke with Patrick Morrison, the museum director, to see if non-members (of their Friends group) could attend, and he said yes(!) and sent me the info on how. So here goes:

Pioneer Steam Heritage

Date: Wed, February 24, 2021
Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST (I was told it will probably go a little over that)
Price: donation amount decided by you

Tickets: click here

Once you buy the tickets, they send you an email with the login instructions.

Thanks David, and I hope to ‘see’ some of you folks there.

Cheers,

Cliff

PS, Pat told me they’d eventually post the event on their Youtube channel, which I just found. Here’s one of their recordings from last September. At about 12:30 you’ll see Devon’s loco prototype!

One thing you haven’t noted Cliff is these are interactive tours as far as I recall. So you can type in comments and questions that a moderator can see and possibly respond to on the show. One of the reasons the tour can go past the stated time slot. Just a heads up.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

I’m giving this a bump, just for folks who might not have noticed it earlier.

This Wednesday night, only two nights from now, an amazing event awaits that is

Guaranteed to change your life!! *

*E.g., it’ll change your plans for that evening if you attend.
