Piko Remote Throttle Sudden Speed Jump

Hi All,

I am new to the forum and hoping to get some insight. I recently installed a Piko RC unit (screenshot of the exact model below) into an LGB mogul. I did a straight replacement of the original pcb and kept it track powered, for now. It seems to work pretty well, but every once and a while, when I go to decrease speed, the thing goes to full speed, rather than slows down. Any ideas on what is going on?

As Rooster said, Welcome!

I’ve installed a Piko 35040 [I didn’t realise there was a high-power 35042.] It operated as expected - in other words, I didn’t see the problem you are having.

I did have a problem with the remote battery, and OnlyTrains, where I bought it, was very responsive and helpful.

Hi Peter,

I will try the battery in the controller first and see how it goes. I also purchased it from Only Trains, so I’ll reach out to them as well if it keeps acting up.
