Piko Front and Rear Coupler?

I want to ad a front and rear Kadee Coupler to my Piko#38210 2-6-0 Mogul D&RGW Steam Locomotive. Which coupler wold you recommend. I want to use #1 Coupler style. Thanks Jack

Jackie, I use KD 906’s and KD 830"s on everything they both use the same draft box as the 830 of course I also love the slack action the 830/906’s offer.

they mount with very little work, and are just about on par with the kd height gauge

KD 830 /906

if you dont want the slack action of the 830/906 you can also use the KD 1905 for sill mounts

or KD 1835 for body mount w/o the slack action

Hope this helps, I have pics if you need some

Until Later,

Shawn

What’s the difference between the 830 and 906? I’m getting ready to buy this Mogul.

Second question. How does this engine look with the LGB boxcars?

The KADEE 906 is the new version that has the spring on the inside. They both use the 830 box.

I think that we came to a consensus that the Piko camelback was close to 1:26 in proportion. So… whatever proportion LGB used for their boxcars, and if that is acceptable to you…

Thanks Steve. I haven’t been keeping up!

Jackie suggested that the coupler wanted was the #1 scale coupler…

If you go to the Kadee Coupler web page…you might find something…maybe the same coupler set that they have for the LGB Mogul/B’mann 10 wheeler.

Better still, call Sam at Kadee and ask him…he is VERY helpful in such matters.

I don’t have a Piko locomotive to look at, so I can’t offer a suggestion. I would call Sam…
