Large Scale Central

PICTURES!

Here are a bunch of photos from our club meet at my home on June 24. They are in general order from the lower section of the layout to the upper. The weather was great and we ran up to five trains simultaneously (fortunately, no one was in a hurry). The layout is about 2 1/2 years old. I hope you enjoy them.

Very nice. Another rock fan!

Very nice, my back hurts from looking at all those rocks though.

Jerry,

The first big load of rocks I had delivered by truck, the material is termed “hand rocks” as in you place them by hand. Well, well, well those were the biggest hand rocks I had seen or placed. Ever since I pick them up - usually about 300-350kg placed in bins in the van - carefully selected. Oh my aching back!

I have a few rocks to shift into place ... been putting it off :) This layout puts me to shame ...

I love rocks! Sure, they’re a pain to place but after that.

Nice pike!

Joe nice layout. What make and scale are the cars behind the UP unit?

Todd:
I believe they are 1:32. Don’t know the make. We’ve got some guys in the club who are committed to that scale.

Beautiful layout - thanks for posting.

When we go, the GFO will let us have a layout like that in paradise.

Great photos and layout Joe

Thanks for posting

Nice layout! Of course, I too love the rocks! They look like the same type of stone I used on most of my RR.
