…I stole it from John Bouck! I liked his so much I made a shorter version for my own pike (with John’s blessing!).
Thanks John!

Finally mustard the courage to build it…I have quite a way to go to catsup to John.
I relish puns.
Kewl!
You picked a nice one to steal, and did a fine job on it.
Who did your decals?
Ralph
Thanks for the reminder Ralph…
Thanks to Stan Cedarcliff. Took a little practice as I am not used to placing decals on a “rough” surface. I used Testors decal setting solution…Once dried, I carefully “slit” the decals over the grooved siding with a super-sharp exacto and applied Micro-Sol over the top. Micro-Sol scares me when I see the decals "blister, but it worked very well. All that is left is to top-coat.
I like it! Fine, fine job.
I finished another Heinz reefer to go with mine. I’ll have to post a pic.
Stans decals are easy to apply over wood. After primer, sand the sides a little, then wet sand the top coat (color) a little. It will be as smooth as plastic. I use warm water with a drop or two of dishwasher soap in it. (Makes water wetter). Apply some of this water to the surface of the model while you are waiting for the decal to become soft. Stan’s decals will slip right off and then you can move them around with the point of your exacto knife.
Let dry. Then gently coat it with Micro-Sol. Let dry over night.
Then I use a new sharp exacto blade and slit the decal down the scribed boards. Then another application of Micro Sol sucks the decal into the scribes. Let that dry and then mist a coat of Krylon matte over the decal.
Then a wetter coat of matte clear to seal it in.
Repeat on other side of car.
Then I spray the whole car with Dullcoat at the very end.
With all those steps, it takes me two days to decal a car. But at the cost of the decals, the effort is worth the wait.

My next car may be a double-door reefer.
Really nice work! Well done!
