They actually had wooden tank cars for vinegar. They couldn’t use metal because of the acid reaction.

John… I Like that tanker… What is the age, vintage of it? It appears to be setting on newer trucks, which would have given it life much latter in the 20th century.

It was built in 1938 for the Fleishmann Transportation Company. I think they were phased out by the early 1950’s.
Lots of lushous detail on that one. Steel cowling over the top half. And the tank, tho’ not the frame, appears to be sagging a mite in the middle There’s a modelling challenge…
