Saw this on the RCCrawler Forum I’m on: https://chrome.google…com/webstore/d…alioapbifiaedg
Lots of guys have tried it and it works, I never used photobucket, so I don’t know, but it restores images lost.

Link no good.

I believe this is the full link for Chrome users…
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-hotlink-fix/kegnjbncdcliihbemealioapbifiaedg
That looks more like a full link. But since I seldom use chrome…
Tried it in chrome…
It works (how long will depend on how soon Photobucket takes to modify their site to stop the extension)
In any case, the made the images on this thread work: https://www.largescalecentral.com/forums/topic/26943/something-for-the-pennsy-fans-a-t1-duplex/view/post_id/346998
Thanks Mike, at least for now Chrome users can see some of the older posts…
Greg
Sorry about the link not working, I copied it from the page on RCC, checked it several times to make sure I didn’t miss any letters, but thanks Joe for straightening it out.
Greg, that’s what the guys on RCC were asking too. When photobucket finds out there’s a loophole, they’ll find a way to block that too.
There’s also a link over on RCC for Firefox users to bypass photobucket.
There’s no question that they will do it, it’s just a temporary reprieve…
Greg
Here is the fix for Firefox…
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-embedded-fix/
Or not. I installed the Firefox fix this morning, and this evening I still see the Photobucket ransom notes.
Right at this moment I see the Photobucket pictures that I did not before the fix. I am using Windows 7 Pro with Firefox 57.0.2 (64-bit). Still works for me. try clearing your cookies and then restart Firefox.
I installed the plugin on both Firefox and Chrome and have been trying to test them out. Problem is, I can’t find any threads with the PB ransom notes. Either the extensions are working or I’m just not looking hard enough. Can someone point to a post or thread where I can test whether it is working or not?
Why even use PhotoBucket if it’s such a pain? There are other options that don’t restrict you like imgur or even Flickr.
Eric yes, but some people have literally hundreds of photos in the bucket, and so many threads and how to articles are (were) populated with photos that are in the bucket.
Oh, I see. I guess they used to allow embedding.

Just recently they changed the rules and decided to charge folks $400 to share their fotos on a third party server. Problem is their revenue ads didn’t accompany the pics. Users got spoiled with free file sharing … and the Bucket was financially kicking it. $400 seems like punishment vs. catching up on revenue…
Those others may follow… best to buy space here. This isn’t Lysol, Bob isn’t going to retire off the profits here! If you can see the pictures in this thread below the fix is working…
Yes, I can! Thanks …
