Just testing on photo posting. I give up for now.

Tried again, still no luck. I can get the photo up in FS but that is a far as I can get.

Copy the picture URL, not the page it’s on.

if you upload it to a freight shed, right click on the picture click on copy then come to the post or reply page click in the area to get the cursor blinking, then rigt above the font sizes in to tool area there is a square with a sun and a mountain box, hold cursor on that it will say insert / edit image, click on that Right click in the source box click paste then ok, should show up in you post, click and add your text or repeat to add more pictures, If I can do it, you can too! good luck, cant wait to see the picture

I’ve had better luck posting from Tiny Pics. Doesn’t seem quite as convoluted and not so PC centric. Guess I’m too dull to use the in App method. Anyway, works well for me. I think Macs don’t usually use a right click method, at least I have not been successful doing it.

I think there’s a lot of info on how to do. The key that 99% of the people having problems is that the file needs to have an address on the internet… that the link to the picture starts with http:// you CANNOT post a picture from your hard drive, inside an email, etc.

Also, the second most mistake is posting an address (URL) from a private online space, where only you have access… the forum cannot “log in” to your private online file space.

I think I remember Benevolent Bob describing a 2 key function that your me-mac uses instead of a simple right click, not being so encumbered, I didn’t save them.

For me I open the pic and ‘Copy Image Location’ and paste that in the pop up box, whether it’s in my shed or in google images, the results are the same.

John, I’ll give that A try sometime. I think the postings from Tiny Pic provides the required Internet address. That might work from Apple’s iCloud. Will give it a try.

Paul, can you post the url you are trying?

Also, mac or pc, what os?

This should not be this difficult, I can tell you are frustrated, but you aren’t giving us anything to go on.

Don’t know why your not getting the prompt when you right click.

I “cheat” on my Macbook Pro…I just plug in a mouse and do it the “old fashioned” way :). Enough with the “finger salutes”!

Paul,

I took the liberty of going into your album after just receiving your email. I was able to post it here. The RIGHT CLICK in the dialog box and I got the message COPY IMAGE ADDRESS. I did this with a MacBook Pro. I don’t know why the COPY IMAGE ADDRESS is not showing for you. That’s a mystery. :frowning:

If everyone else can do it but I can’t, then it must be something to do with my computer?

Talked to Greg today. We got it figured out. Google Chrome works, right click and you get the “copy image address”. With Micro Soft edge it will work but when you right click on photo just use “copy”. The browser that AOL uses doesn’t work. So,if I want to post a photo here I will use Edge.
