Phoenix P8 or PB11?

I was looking to pick up a refurbished Phoenix 2K2 for my FN3 trail car project, but now that I have cash they are sold out :frowning: So I’m looking at new boards.

The PB11 is $70 more than a P8B from Robbie at RLD. I don’t need any accessories or speakers. A volume switch would be nice, but I can get one separately. The radio system I use can have 6 triggers max + voltage input, but I can’t see a need for more than 4 + voltage.

Am I missing something, or will the P8B do it? Also not sure I understand the B in the P8B model number. Would that be for Bare Board ?

Hmm… Should have spent a little more time on the Phoenix website before posting this. Looking at http://www.phoenixsound.com/products/decide.htm The only difference is the battery and charge circuits for track power. My trail car will have no track power inputs so it’s a no brainer - Buy the P8B from Robbie

Yep, Robbie actually told me this the first time I bought one from him. I was gonna go with the PB11, cause I thought well heck its gotta be better 11 is bigger than 8 right? Robbie said that if you use RC and battery then the PB8 is what you need.
