Peru 2 Footer

Picked this up off the EBT list. A very nice video of an “almost” 2 -foot ore hauler in Peru that operated into the 80’s…

The EBT List said:
EBT/FEBT folks might relate to the Perus Pirapora, which is in Brazil. The portland cement hauler shut down and was left intact in the early 1980s. 600mm gauge Baldwin and Porter steam locomotives sit around waiting the day which may see their restoration. And a small group of folks is working on just that. Look up the railroad name on you tube, or just follow the link below. There is a crazy ride on a motorcar through the jungle over precarious washed-out bridges! Enjoy, and have a peaceful, steamy new year. O. If one knows where to look, there are a number of 2’ or close to it railroads still running around the world. Some are well worn and others as modern as a US class 1. There are still a few 2’ Garretts running too. 2 feet between the rails is a 7/8ths modeler’s paradise…

Make sure you look at this guy’s other videos. The Brazilian RR Ferrovia São João del Rei - 1976 - Pt. 1,2 &3 are really good and the locos are all Baldwins.
