Well Mark, as I wrote I have a very low tolerance level for incompetence, extends to food, cars and model railways, too!
PS SWMBO is equally picky but has slightly more tolerance.

I’ve had great service from PayPal. Can’t imagine having to do without it.
I have found PayPal to be a boon when doing Overseas transactions it makes thing easier and cheaper as the money drawn on the bank account is in real time at the current exchange rate and there is no charge, unlike my credit card which charges at a different exchange rate and charges a fee for doing so.
No problems so far.
Dave
Got this from PayPal yesterday…
Hello Steven Featherkile PA-C,
Thanks for reporting that suspicious-looking email. The email you
received was not sent by PayPal and it links to a fake website. We are
investigating and working on stopping the fraud.
If you have already given any personal or financial information to this
fake website, you should immediately log in to your PayPal account and
change the password and secret questions. You should also tell your bank
about this problem.
To learn how to change your password, go to the PayPal website, click
“Help” at the top of the page, and enter “How do I change my password?”
in the search box.
You should report any unauthorized account activity to PayPal. Here’s
how:
Your account security is very important to us, so we appreciate the
opportunity to pass along this information.
Thanks,
PayPal
Even this makes me uncomfortable. See line 8. in the Report unauthorized transaction “How to.”
Nice Catch-22!
Aaaaaaaaaah!!
That infamous Catch-22.
Not something I have to worry about.
Yeah, I like the WIKI definition
wiki said:
In probability theory, it refers to a situation in which multiple probabilistic events exist, and the desirable outcome results from the confluence of these events, but there is zero probability of this happening, as they are mutually exclusive.
Verify means to “authenticate” you are who you say you are…do it thru PayPal and PayPal only…that is where I was asked to do it…
You guys should read the book. (Catch-22 by Joseph Heller) as well. It’s a howl.
I guess I should re-read it, it’s almost 40 years since I read it.
Steve,
Maybe that e-mail you received back from PP is a fake as well.
Never know, do you.
No PP for me, any way, shape, or form.
