From my delvings the pride was expected in the earlier days. I think of the shine on the locos and the polished inlaid wood works of the cars. I tend to believe this train of thought. I know what you mean about movies creating credible scenery and though I have seen the arrangement on other old shows/movies I still can’t help but continue the search.And I really appreciate the input I’m receiving on the cars (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Pullman built the cars, supplied the staff and all car supplies. The blankets are treasured; wool with Pullman woven in.

John, Thank you for the above reference to chair car. Searching that I found the following info.

On this picture note the individual curtains for the two bunks and the bunk bed style arrangement.

And on deeper thought after looking at the following picture I realize there was not a permanent wall between the bed sets but walls formed when the seats were down for a bed and the upper bed lowered into position.

Hey, Hollywood, are these pictures any good for you? I have the Pennsy Passenger and Freight Car Diagrams book, so I an look for something else. Nothing printed has “Chair Car”.
