Bought one used and it needs a few detail parts. Any help greatly appreciated.
I have a drawing I can e-mail to you as a PDF attachment.
Lets see if this works:
Save it and let me know. Then I’ll delete it.
OOPS! 2020, but the attachment worked.
2020 replaced above.
For what it’s worth; a lot of those diagrams can be found on the Champex-Linden website together with the manuals for the respective items.
Store the link for future reference!
Thanks her Hans…
Thanks John. Appreciate the help without the little attitude.
Hans-Joerg Mueller said:Hans, My buddy down at the LHS gave me the CD years ago. There's a lot of the newer stuff I don't have. I've been to that website to update the CD from time to time. I'm still not updated yet. :) :)

What’s a 2030 or a 2020?
Thank you. Not into LGB numbers.
A Stainz is a “cube” awaiting someone with incredible tolerance and the hands of a jeweler to disasemble. The split block motor block is a challenge. I have been of little patience opening and lubing one of these older LGB gems at the giant Living Desert desert railroad in Palm Desert – in spite of the credential “Hanks can open any LGB loco for repair.” Any comment on an EZ method?

I don’t have one, so I haven’t taken one apart, but … according to those who did: 12 screws and pulling out the buffers is all it takes. The bi-lingual “how-to” http://atw.huebsch.at/modell/g-spur/LGB_Stainz.htm
If I wouldn’t be so busy I could translate the Step-by-step instructions from the GARTENBAHNprofi … perhaps …, perhaps. Just compiled an update of my “to do” list and I’m still a bit dizzy.
