Paint matching Question

I’m looking to match the grey paint color on an Aristo Craft RS-3 in Union Pacific colors. I spent last Friday cleaning and readying both loops on my railroad for our March club meeting at my house. I ran my RS-3 with it’s battery car around several times on both loops to make sure everything ran ok. Then came the accident. I had picked up both pieces in my hands and started for the garage only to catch my right food on a portion of my retaining wall blocks and tripped.

Yep, I feel right to the ground hurting my already torn hamstring from a slip on the ice 2 months earlier and of course as I fell both my RS-3 and the battery car went flying sky word and landed on the ground. The battery car didn’t see any damage but my RS-3 did. It broke off several of the handrail up-rights and bent the hand rail on one side. I have several black uprights from another RS-3 I tore apart for another project, but I need to paint them first. Fortunately the RS-3 still runs find.

Why paint them? Real railroads don’t always paint replacement parts to match. And, if they do paint them to match, they don’t anyway.

Oh, and fix that wall so you dont hurt yourself again. You are too valuable to end up in the ER.
