Molly and I had our layout open for the National Garden Railway Convention on Thursday 7-7-16. We had no idea what to expect having had local BAGRS (Bay Area Garden Railway Society) open houses in the past with with an average of 25 attendees. WOW, were we surprised and elated by 400 people visiting our RR. We had three bus loads and a constant stream of cars filling our street. It was non stop from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM. Weather was great at 80 deg. Visitors came from as far away as Germany to the East and Australia to the West, as well as, 32 States and Canada. It was great fun talking RR stuff, Pond stuff, and Gardening. Our layout is first a Garden with a railway running through it and over our Koi pond. Our garden with all it’s color was very intriguing to our visitors.
