That’s cool. Kinda like those fiberglass rocks you use to hide a pipe or something.
Lol Chris that’s funny
Just thought I would share the continuing saga that is me. I am doing great. 2+ weeks post op and I still feel wonderful. Minor headaches, a 2 on the 1-10 pain scale whereas before they were 6-8, that are likley low pressure headaches because the valve is working, and they are no where near constant like before, maybe have them for an hour or so and tylenol takes care of it. No ringing in my ear that wasn’t there from years ago. No pressure in my ear or eyes. No stiff neck. I truly feel excellent. I healed up well from the surgery and only have all but the most minor tenderness where they ran the drain tube and only then if I go looking for it. About the only complaint I have is my vision is still horrible and that, I was promised, will take time to heal and repari itself. I am rebuilding my shop and making Christmas presents, basically passing time until the real important things start happening like the build challenge.
Here are some fun pictures of what they actually did to me. Gary can relate. And see Gary no titanium where they augured the whole. Its epoxied closed.
Hey there! X-ray view is interesting. Thanks to whoever it was who figured out how to do this treatment surgery and make it work.

Oh yeah? From our part of the good old U.S. of A.:
LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) — A dentist found the source of the toothache Patrick Lawler was complaining about on the roof of his mouth: a four-inch nail the construction worker had unknowingly embedded in his skull six days earlier.
A dental office X-ray reveals a four-inch nail embedded in the skull of Patrick Lawler.
A nail gun backfired on Lawler, 23, on Jan. 6 while working in Breckenridge, a ski resort town in the central Colorado mountains. The tool sent a nail into a piece of wood nearby, but Lawler didn’t realize a second nail had shot through his mouth, said his sister, Lisa Metcalse.
Following the accident, Lawler had what he thought was a minor toothache and blurry vision. On Wednesday, after painkillers and ice didn’t ease the pain, he went to a dental office where his wife, Katerina, works.
“We all are friends, so I thought the (dentists) were joking … then the doctor came out and said ‘There’s really a nail,’” Katerina Lawler said. “Patrick just broke down. I mean, he had been eating ice cream to help the swelling.”
He was taken to a suburban Denver hospital, where he underwent a four-hour surgery. The nail had plunged 1 1/2 inches into his brain, barely missing his right eye, Metcalse said.
“This is the second one we’ve seen in this hospital where the person was injured by the nail gun and didn’t actually realize the nail had been imbedded in their skull,” neurosurgeon Sean Markey told KUSA-TV in Denver. “But it’s a pretty rare injury.”
Lawler was recovering Sunday in the hospital, where he was expected to spend several more days.
Despite his lack of medical insurance and hospital bills between $80,000 and $100,000, Katerina Lawler said her husband is in good spirits.
“The doctors said, ‘If you’re going to have a nail in the brain, that’s the way you want it to be,’” she said. “He’s the luckiest guy, ever.”
Nice and roomy…just the way I like it.
Hey Devon, thanks for the update.
Is that curly tube and valve supposed to permanently hang out of your head? Hopefully you can detach it, when not used to drain things…?
If not, how the heck do you comb your hair? Might have to “go 'fro”, that would hide it. And you wouldn’t have to comb.
And what happens if you snag it on the bed post or something? Do REALLY BAD things happen? Or just minor things?
At least it all looks more comfortable than trepanning…

Lol I am not sure how much your kidding around or if you are serious. In case your serious the valve is under my scalp. the curly thing/s are the staples and are gone already. But if your kidding then let me tall you the curly thing was a down right bitch. I forgot the staples were there and would go to scratch my head and snag one. Ouch!!!. And when the valve was still tender I went to go get in the car and banged the valve on the door jam. I said a very bad string of words and almost laid in the parking lot in the fetal position and cried. Thankfully I was able to control myself until I got int the car and then let loos with the bad words.
Shut up Rooster…
