I’m at the laundromat. Somebody has the comedy channel on. Makes me ever so glad I gave away my tv!
My brother and I have a theory. There is/was only so much intelligence to go around. So as more humans are born, there is much less for them to share, hence the sad shape of the general population.
Depends what you are watching, if your watching news/science shows like Nova or Frontline where you’ll learn something thats one thing, watching the Bachlorette?..well, not so much.
Most of what is on TV is crap, but people watch it none the less.
TV is dumbed down to a fifth grade education level. So rather than lifting the ignorant they lower the standard.

Really need a smilie that conveys the drum sequence used in jokes.
Twit Vision…I don’t watch it and haven’t used a receiver for over 10 years.
ever since Benny Hill died…
But…one ray of hope. The Red Green Show! My idol. "If it can’t be fixed with duct tape it ain’t worth fixin’!
Dave, a local DTV (THiS TV) station here plays Benny Hill all night on Thursdays, then 3 Stooges all Friday night
One great show on local DTV I like is from Japan called Dotch Kitchen, translateion roughly “Whats your order Kitchen” where they highlight 2 local regional delicasies after showing what the dish is in extreme detail, they then have their chefs prepare the dishes, the judging board then has to choose which they prefer, which ever dish get the most votes is the one the winning voters get to eat, while the losers have to sit there and watch them, one thing, you WILL get hungry watching this show LOL
BTW I’m watching “Frontline” on PBS right now on the Wikileaks story…interesting.
I miss “Fawlty Towers” and mostly “Are you being Served”. Do have them on disks but could watch them all day and night.
Benny Hill was there too and his gals, yummy !!! Good old days. Only thing I can do now, is dream…
TOF
Yeah, there’s way too much crap on TV but there’s still a lot of good stuff. News, PBS, NOVA, National Geographics, old movies, etc. But in the end, it’s up to you what you watch, you’re holding the remote.
i need my tv.
when i’m too lazy to think and too tired to work, i tune into some hollywood action movie - and when i wake up again i turn the tv off.

It depends on how smart the fifth grader is.
I’m watching the Japanese "Dotch Kitchen " show mentioned in my earlier post. Spicy Shezsuan glass noodles vs deep fried tofu in a spicy red bean sauce. Man I’m glad I ate earlier
They use to say you are what you eat, but anymore it is you are as smart as what you watch.
If you are what you eat, then I’m simple, cheap and easy.
