During a visit to my son and daughter in-law in Plant City FL, we took a day trip to Tavares FL to ride the Orange Blossom Cannonball. It’s a 2-6-0 wood fired steamer originally built in 1907. It was converted to oil burning and ran that way until it was recently converted back to wood. We took the 1hr/8mile trip and highly recommend adding it to your steam locomotive destinations. The locomotive was used in several movies, here’s the web site for all the info: http://www.orangeblossomcannonball.com/
ahhh, nice pictures… I see you got them posted…
Cool. It’s always nice to take a trip to the past

Nice pictures Dan! I think I have seen this in a couple movies I have.
Thanks for posting them.
Forgot to add a video link of when it left the station after our ride was over!
Man, I been through Tavares lots of times and never knew that was there…
Hey, lookin’ good! Hope you guys are having fun.
Way cool, Dan! Dunno 'bout y’all, but steam train whistles always give me “chicken skin,” as the Hawaiians say. Thanks for the video.
Hope you both had a great time
