Large Scale Central

Opening of the High Line on the LCNGRR

Hi all

As I noted in my Bachmann Mogul bash topic in the modelling section, I haven’t had too much time to do stuff on the garden railway, but I did finally get the first section of the High Line open recently and with the new Mogul plus the trusty Porter, put together a video of putting a train together and a run up the line.

It can be found here http://youtu.be/ntTcHAsLktU. I put in some sounds from my own recordings, so hope it doesn’t come across too corny.

Hope you enjoy the ride!

Cheers
Tony

Sounds good, nice video!

Tony,
Nice job on the video. Not corny at all. Good job adding the sound.

Thanks gents

Also thanks for embedding it Ralph.

Tony - Great job syncing the sound. Very believable. And the train / layout looks good too!

I like the way you have the sound so you hear the engine really “working” up the hill and over the trestle. Nice looking layout.

Tony
I like the way you got the sounds to work with the loco and your layout looks very nice
The mogul turn out nice also

Great work on Video…and love the sound up the grade…
Tks’ Ralph B. for inserting the video… Have to learn how to do that again.

Tony, nice video and railroad

Enjoyed the video. Nice job all around. Thanks for the trip!

very nice video.I enjoyed the ride.

Well done!

Very nice. RR looks great.

Nice, well done! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I really enjoyed both the filming and editing of it and I know its not a blockbuster by any means, but its fired me up to get stuck into the railroad a lot more. I feel some structures coming up soon.

Cheers

Great video on a great looking railroad! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments guys. I was hanging out the washing on Saturday and put a train on for a distraction from the tedious chore. That led to another train being brought out and I noticed that the sun was catching the trains nicely when the crossed over the trestle bridge so got a few shots of the new mogul. Not sure which one is the best, so here they all are!

I think the first or second one is better from the lower down angle. The railroad is in the shade most of the time as there is a big Golden Rain tree that overhangs it, which, while great in summer, is a bugger for taking decent pics. Will have to get some more of the other locos now. Cheers Tony

I vote for this one:
