OPEN HOUSE 2011 "THE VIDEO"

Hi all,
We held our annual open house on June 26th and had about 40 guests through the afternoon.
The open house is by invitation, not open to the public in general so that helps to keep it managable.

Anyway my Brother-in-Law did his usual good job of shooting the trains and scenery. We left on the 28th
for our annual trek to the mountains and just returned today, hence the delay in posting the video.

Hope you enjoy it.

Very nice Rick.
Hope you don’t mind me embedding the video.
I just want to make sure the embedding is working.

Outstanding Rick! I really like all the little details you have put into your railroad AND your brother-in-law found them in his video. For me it’s like revisiting an old home town. I’ve got to see this layout in person! Thanks again for presenting a great railroad.

BTW, I’m taking my “stock” Bachmann Connie over to my friends new elevated layout Wednesday morning and then starting the switch-out to my new BBT drive after the run.

Good video, Rick…and a nice RR, too…

Hey Ralph, Thanks!

Gary,
Come on any time, grab Dave and drive up. Well you might want to wait till Fall now, supposed to be 106 tomorrow.
We don’t do much railroading this time of year.

Like I said I got my Connie drive from Barry just a couple of days before we left on vacation so haven’t had much time to study the install sheets. How about this; when you get yours done I will send mine down and you can do it, since you will be an expert by then ;)=) :)=).

Next on the railroad is the Smith Camp project then the Humboldt Bay yards.
Always something to do.
Rick

Wonderful video and very good modeling with many interesting details. I enjoyed the shots of the front end of the locomotives moving over teh line. Very well done.

Rick
That is one real fantastic video, I love how you have laid out your raised bed RR. I have heard about your RR, Since I am not very far from you, some week end you are planning on a get together, I would love an invite, I have a friend that is really interested in a raised bed something like yours, I know he would really enjoy seeing your layout, thanks for your posting your great video.
Dennis

Holey moley! Take the superlative modeling of Rick Marty and the consummate video skills of his brother in law and what do you have? Rogers & Hammerstein in digital!! An Academy Award winning production for sure. Wonderful!

Rick awsome layout. I remember seeing another video of your layout. Didnt realize it was your layout until now. The details really make it come alive.

Doc Tom,
Thanks for the positive comments.

Dennis
You and friend would be welcome anytime we are running.
Always glad to Bull----, errrr share information ;)

Richard,
I thought Smith was probably an English name not Irish. Well I
guess Blarney really has no nationality    Thanks friend.

Shawn,
Thanks for the kind words.

I hear ya about the heat! Been well over 100 degrees here for a couple of weeks. Like I said, I was going to run my Connie one more time on my friends new layout and then go for the rebuild with Barry’s drive.
“since you will be an expert by then ;)=) :)=).” Yeah OK expert! Hee. Hee. I’ll see Dave a week from this Saturday for our 50th high school reunion. Fall sounds good to me.

Rick-
Outstanding workmanship.
Thanks,
Wendell
