Large Scale Central

Oops. Don't park so close to the track, next time

Stolen from OGRForum who stole it from Boston Public Library.

Ouch! I hope it was parked; if anyone was driving it they would be a world of hurt.

Cool! I always like it when a plan comes together.

Compact parking only!

you can fix a car, but you can’t fix stupid

Looks like they were in a real hurry after that bank robbery and then got squeezed out.

Can we see that in g scale?

Now days, after the lawsuits, the RR would be held responsible because it didn’t have any no parking signs along the right of way.

In my experience in Public Safety its more likely the railroad would charge them with trespassing and win…seen it happen…

What date time are we looking at here - the 30’s?

That looks like the 1928 Dodge that my Dad had when I was very young. I've seen pictures. :P

What I find really telling is that the paint is barely scratched on the rail car, and the automobile is totaled. Nothing has changed since then, has it.

Ouch! just a little bondo and it will be good as new

Judging by the structure above the vehicles, I’d say it made for an “EL” of a mess!

Have fun,

Funny, I was just looking through the book Rochester’s Transportation Heritage (Donovan A. Shilling, Acadia Publishing, 2003)a couple of days ago and saw a pic of a trolley mashing a '27 Buick into a tree (p56). Looked much the same. I can’t quite figure out how one could get into such a mess but if you look at old transportation photos you’re bound to see some really doozies.

And the real problem is that the driver of the car has reproducted and passed on the “stupid” gene!

Paul

People figured the trolleys were like horses, they’ll get out of the way…
Unfortunately - as Paul stated, the genes got passed down. See people on the interstates around here (Atlanta) all the time thinking they can push their way in and it always seems like the bigger the vehicle they are trying to “move” is the smaller their vehicle is. Saw one of those Smart (not so Smart?) cars pull out in front of a Semi the other day. Just missed getting creamed by an inch.

Not only happened with trollies also the real train. It’s about a 50 50 change either RR wins law suit or the other guy wins. Later RJD

Just a little Bondo and it’ll be good as new!
