It’s my biggest fear, but couldn’t look away and had to watch.

Take a George Jetson Style Train from the Airport in Osaka. This train is called the Rapi:t Express Train and it runs from Osaka Airport to Osaka Namba Station.

It was a comfortable convenient ride to our train station hotel.

If you are travelling to Japan, as a railway buff, look for Ekimae in the name of the hotel.

Here’s a breakdown:

  • 駅 (eki): This kanji means ā€œstationā€.
  • 前 (mae): This kanji means ā€œfrontā€ or ā€œbeforeā€.

Therefore, ā€œekimaeā€ literally means ā€œstation frontā€. It’s a common term used in Japan to describe the area directly outside a train station, which is often a busy and important location.
