That is a terrible wreck and in this day and age of electronics! Imagine coming around that curve at near 60 and suddenly another train is bearing down on you. No doubt the engineer died in the crash unless he had a few seconds to jump clear.

10 Dead so far, about 150 injured. Both drivers and conductors are among the dead.

Yeah that’s ugly and you do have to wonder how it happens but it does happen. Sad

This was on a line with PTC, be curious to find out why it didnt work in this case

Awful thing to happen. I agree with Vic, the line had auto train control so something must have gone seriously wrong, no doubt the truth will out once the data recorders have been analysed.
