This will work on a small pizza layout, lol
I like the Vee Front. Travel Trailer makers started using that 5-6 years ago and called it innovation
Copied and saved, that is a cool one. Thanks
The problem isn’t inspiration, its a lack of appropriate drive blocks to bash them on.
Something like this, MDCs speeder would be a good foundation if it wasnt for the horrible motor set up, USAs speeder wheels are a little too small plus at $99 (if you can find one) its a little hard to justify the $ for such a small thing, especially when your going to cut it up. I might try building this one unpowered and use my pusher car with it. That set up allows me to build more interesting pieces without worrying about how to stuff a very bulky LS motor block into it.
Mark,
That’s the Manistee and North Eastern Railroad, where did you find the photo?
Dan,
Google is your friend…
Someone posted that pic on Facebook, saying it was taken in Syracuse, NY
Joe,
Did that, but blindly missed that photo, I see it now.
That’s awesome!
I can’t quite figure out how those brakes were supposed to work.

Looks like a rotary knob on top, turn it and the rod goes down and forces the shoes against the wheel … my guess
Bachmann have the handcar wheels available as spare parts.
Not as many spokes but similar with bolt detail in the center.

Vic… I’ve used the Hartland Railtruck single axle motor block for a small unit like this and a pusher car…
And they have a powered 2 axle motor block with 2 1/2 inch wheel base that works extremely well for a pusher or powered 'bash. They’re very easy to work with and run nicely on 9-12 volts.
