I read a report in “The Dispatcher’s Office”,a publication of the OPSIG Group, that at a recent NMRA Convention in the North East the tour included an On30 layout that was outside. Does anyone know anything about this?
Some day I hope to put a Gn15 shortline outside. It was originally going to be track powered but as rc/battery units get smaller I think I will plan on battery power.
This is getting off the subject but do you have a battery/rc steam-era switcher? I don’t plan to power the wye, train barn so I want a steam switcher to put together trains.
Early “BoxCabs” were used in the steam era. What Bruce Chandler created would fit right in.
A Box Cab would work nice because I would guess you could fit the rc/battery inside it.
