Old Southern Pacific Bridge close to Bisbee AZ

While home a week ago I made a sudden stop not too far from the Mule Muntains to take a picture of this old SP bridge. The line once ran down into Bisbee AZ and on into Mexico. Fr. Fred would appreciate the handrails still being intact for the most part.

This bridge will definitely get modelled on my line in the near future.

He He …but are the “Guard rails” in place, between the running rails…?

Sir, the running rails are long gone. The roadbed is now used by our not so freindly neighbourhood border patrol for racing along in pursuit of those who may not be doing the right things. Most of the ties have been gathered and used for fence posts by the ranchers.
I personally wish I had the bridge timbers at home as a border for a raised layout, talk about authenticity!
