Happy New Year Everyone! I came upon this power supply. It is marked as a Model Rectifier Corporation Tri Pack Model 2.
Does anybody know the age and output amperage of this unit? I plan to use this on my test bench. Thanks, Ward

Neat !
It’s definitely old. Model 2 on the front! Might have some collector value.
Looks like DC because of the direction switch. No way to guess amperage. You could hook up a multi-meter (on amperage setting) in line with a large load and turn it up until the breaker pops. That will give you a pretty good idea of capacity.
You could always send them an e-mail Ward. You could get an interesting answer.
My guess is it is probably an HO power supply.
There should be a plate on it with the electrical specs. You’d have to divide the total output by 3.

definitely an HO power pack. If memory servers me these were about 6 amps total or about 2 to 3 amps per throttle. It usually also had a 16 volt AC connection on the back, but if you used that, you had to reduce the amount of amps available to the throttles by how much you had hooked to that. also, you cannot use these with common return feed as it is only one transformer inside powering all 3 throttles and the a6 volt accessory terminals. If you use common return feed, you will get a short between the throttles.
