I’m looking to continue to instill “old world” values into my boys…and was thinking of trying to locate some Older Scout Manuals…those before they got crazy with the PC-BS…1950’s and back I believe would be a good start…got not much to offer than a good home and a promise to teach what most kids will never have the chance to learn nowadays!

I don’t have any at the moment, but my wife and I frequent shops where we see them from time to time. I’ll keep any eye out for you. We both collect books on just about any and evreything.

I have one from 1978. and 1986. Both focus on I believe what you are after. I agree it is not what it use to be like. We deal with scouts all the time. We get some great troops and other times we get not so good. The leaders are drinking at night when responsible for all those kids. Groups doing everything they are not suppose to do. Going against everything a scouts is suppose stand for.
I may have some from the 50’s and 60’s. I’ll have to look around at my Dad’s place. He’s a pack rat and probably still has a few.
Mine are 1957 and 1959, but not parting with them. 
All I remember is -
“I’ll do my duty. I’ll do my best to help the girl scouts undress!”
